A Year in Review

2017 has been a busy year for us! From new product launches, to big investments into our factory, we’ve gone from strength to strength this year. In case you missed any of it, here’s a quick round up of what we’ve been up to over the last 12 months…


50 Design Tips from Designers, to Designers – We kicked off the year with a brand new eBook, bringing you 50 design tips from successful designers. We spoke to some of the big names in the industry, including Jacob Cass and Brent Galloway. You can still download your own copy now to discover what their best piece of advice is.

Reviewed Flyer Prices – We always want to be able to offer you market leading prices on all of our products. So, in January, we permanently dropped the prices on our 1 working day and 2 working day booklets to really give you value for money.


Print Customers and How to Find Them – Our second eBook  of 2017 was designed to help you target your marketing efforts. We surveyed 1,200 print buyers to learn which industry buys the most print, when they buy, and which products they’re interested in. You can use this data to make your next campaign as effective as possible.


Same Day Dispatch – When you’re in a pinch, you don’t want to be hanging around for your print to arrive. That’s why we’re offering more and more of our products on a same day dispatch. Plus, we made it even easier for you to find which of our products are available on this turnaround with a dedicated product section on our website.


New Run Lengths on Flyers – While it’s difficult to accommodate every quantity requested, based on your feedback we did launch two that were often requested. We launched run lengths of 2,500 and 7,500 flyers for the Goldilocks amongst you who need just the right number of flyers.


How to Improve Agency-Client Relationships – The ability to build strong connections with clients can make or break a contract. To help design agencies with this, we released an eBook packed with strategies and tips for keeping clients happy and loyal.


Folded Business Cards – These nifty cards gives your client double the amount of space to promote their business. Not only that, they’re also incredibly versatile and make great loyalty cards, appointment cards and place-name cards! Our folded business cards can be creased along the long edge or the short edge to suit your needs.


24-hour Dispatch on Booklets – As part of our efforts to bring you your print as soon as possible, we managed to make selected stapled booklets available for a 24-hour turnaround. You can order up to 500 self-covering, A4 or A5 portrait, stapled booklets holding a maximum of 32pp and they’ll be on their way to you the very next working day.


£5.3 million investment – Our summer was particularly busy as we made a large investment into our production facility. This money has gone towards installing new equipment with a focus on improving the quality of your print and the range of products we can offer you. The highlights include the purchase of a Heidelberg XL 106, the most efficient litho press manufactured, and the creation of a dedicated, state-of-the-art business card production cell.


New Dispatch Options – Customise your order as much as possible with our new dispatch options. You can now receive file copies, include a personalised delivery note, have your business’ name printed on the label and choose bundle sizes for large orders of certain jobs.

The Freelancer’s Survival Kit – We provided freelance designers with guides to all the essential documents they’ll need throughout their career; a business plan, a design brief, invoices, a statement of work, and a client proposal. The kit also includes an eBook full of tips from freelancers who have already made their business a success.


The Print Show 2017 – Our Account Managers journeyed down to The Print Show this year to meet some of you and answer your questions. Plus, we were very excited to learn about the newest developments in the world of print, including the Océ Colorado 1640 from Canon and much more!

Calendars – Just in time for the New Year rush, we released our brand new calendar range. You can either order wall calendars, which come with a hanger included, or desk calendars with a 500mic box board strut. Our calendars come with a silver wire as standard in a range of sizes.


Wiro-bound Booklets – Another exciting product launch of ours was that of wiro-bound booklets. These booklets can hold 20 to as many as 100 printed pages. They make particularly great instruction manuals thanks to their ability to lay down flat, without having to be held open.

Spot UV Business Cards – As part of the creation of our dedicated business card production cell, we have installed a Scodix S75 in order to offer you spot UV finishing. Your clients’ cards will really stand out of the crowd when you highlight elements of the design in this luxurious finish.


Payment Tokenisation on the Website – For a long time now, we’ve had requests to find a way for you to be able to save your payment details on our site. We are so glad to finally announce that this is now possible. From now on, you won’t have to keep re-entering all your details every time you make an order!
